Justine Quintano is an Australian trained Dietitian with a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Wollongong. An Accredited Practicing Dietitian, Justine has recently returned from a six-year stint with her family in Hong Kong.  During her time abroad, Justine worked as the senior dietitian in a private expat clinic, where she partnered with a variety of specialists and psychologists to support clients from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Trained in all aspects of Clinical Nutrition and Medical Nutrition Therapy, Justine provides evidence-based nutrition advice to prevent and treat illness, and to optimise health. Justine believes in working together with her clients to find practical and achievable solutions to effectively manage a variety of medical diagnoses. Justine believes in creating a positive relationship with food, empowering her clients to make meaningful and sustainable changes to improve health. Justine’s philosophy is that all foods are on the table, and that people are the greatest expert of themselves. Justine approaches her work with clients to provide supportive education with the aim of building confidence and self-efficacy around food and eating decisions.

Justine has a range of clinical experience across various age groups and life stages. Her keen interest is the areas of Women’s Health and Adolescent care. With a particular interest supporting women and teenagers navigate and recover from any form of disordered eating (including Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge-Eating disorders); pre-conception (including PCOS) and maternal health; endocrinology (Diabetes and Insulin Resistance), and dysfunctional gut disorders (Coeliac Disease, IBS and IBD).

Along with Alexandra, Justine is one of our experienced eating disorder dietitians, certified by ANZAED as a CEDC (Certified Eating Disorder Clinician). She has a particular interest in supporting clients with annorexia, bulimea and binge eating disorder in adolescents and young women. She understands the emotional turmoil patients with eating disorders experience and the exhausting pressure it puts on the entire family.

Prior to commencing work in the field of Dietetics, Justine had a career in case management, people leadership and change management with a multi-national Insurer. Through experience in juggling a corporate career and busy young family, Justine is acutely aware of the need for easy, simple and effective strategies in busy, complex households.

When not at work or chasing around her 3 children, Justine can be found outdoors pursuing her love of hiking and running (which was particularly spectacular just outside of Hong Kong).
